MeleeMarkets Live

Editorial Policy

Last updated: October 12, 2026

This policy explains how MeleeMarkets chooses sources, writes short headlines, shows odds data and corrects mistakes. We keep it short because we mean to follow it.

1. We link to the original, always

Every story in our feed comes from the public feed of a publisher we list, and every card links to that publisher's article. The publisher owns the story. We do not republish full articles, we do not put stories behind our own paywall, and we do not present other outlets' reporting as our own.

2. How we choose sources

We pick established outlets across crypto, politics, finance, stocks, culture and sports, and favour those that publish quickly and link to their reporting. We drop sources that publish misleading or low-quality material. We include only the stories that look significant. Routine or promotional items (deals, reviews, how-tos, listicles) are filtered out.

3. Short headlines and descriptions

To make stories quick to read, we shorten and reword each headline and add a one-sentence description and a short "TL;DR". These are based on the publisher's headline and short excerpt only, and we aim never to add facts or change numbers. Mistakes can still happen, so treat our wording as a pointer, and rely on the original article for any detail that matters. If our version differs from the original in a way that misleads, tell us and we will fix it.

4. Pictures

Photos shown on some cards are the images the publisher supplies with the story, loaded from the publisher's own servers and credited by linking to the source. We do not store or alter them. If you own a picture and want it removed, see Copyright & Takedowns.

5. Odds and market data

Prices, changes, volume and closing dates come from Polymarket's and Kalshi's public market-data interfaces and are shown as those platforms report them, refreshed every few minutes, so they can lag the live market. A market shown beside a story is matched automatically by the words in the headline and labelled "related". It is not a forecast about that story. The Compare tool pairs similar questions on the two platforms using the same automatic matching; two markets that look alike may resolve on different rules, so check each market's rules before drawing conclusions.

6. Not financial advice

We report what markets are pricing and what the news says. We never tell anyone what to buy, sell or bet on, and nothing on the site is a recommendation.

7. Independence, ads and sponsors

MeleeMarkets is funded by advertising and sponsorships. Advertisers and sponsors cannot buy coverage, change a headline or influence what appears in the feed. Paid placements are clearly labelled "Sponsored" and kept apart from the editorial feed. We do not accept ads that promise returns or could be mistaken for trading advice.

8. Corrections

Email hello@meleemarkets.com with the page address and what is wrong. We aim to reply within two business days. We correct clear errors promptly, and where a correction changes the meaning of a story we say so on the page.
